Our home is just 5 or 6 blocks up the hill from Camano Island's Madrona Beach. This area was dotted with family-owned fishing charter businesses during the 1930s, '40s and '50s.

Once in a while we get a low tide for clamming on our beach. Sandy hates clams, but she's a very good wife.

Camano Island still has a large number of deer that sometimes wonder through our neighborhood. This young one is looking for plants to eat.
